Promise Yourself To Keep Doing It For The Kids Into The Next Century!

East Missouri Optimists

Our East Missouri District Convention is shaping up to be a great one and all Optimist members and their guests are welcome!  We will have Club Officer Sessions conducted by the energetic Optimist International Representative TRACY HUXLEY! Not going to be a Club Officer, don't worry, we've got you covered, too!

This year we will have an election for the position of Governor-Elect for the 2019-2020 year!  The candidates (in alphabetical order) are Liz Christman and Mary Meers.  The winner of this election will be our District Governor for 2020-2021.

The event starts off Friday evening with the Executive Committee meeting which everyone is invited to attend.  This will be followed by the hospitality room,  Putt Putt Golf  commemorating our District Jr. Golf Tournament, and our version of hockey - Let's Go Blues! Saturday early morning, the Board of Directors will vote on possible changes to our District Policies and Procedures and everyone is invited to attend this meeting, too.  In addition to the things already mentioned, we will have a Soap Box Derby demonstration on Saturday! The evening will be capped off with the Installation Banquet, Roast of the out-going Governor, and entertainment.  Sunday morning we will have a memorial service to remember those Optimists we have lost this year.
