EMO 3rd Quarter Conference
The 3rd quarter EMO conference was held April 27th & 28th. The CCDHH & oratorical contest were held as well as some good training from Dennis Desmond. Four ladies and a gentleman got buzz haircuts for St. Baldrick’s childhood cancer research.
A special thank you to Karl Tyminski for chairing the CCDHH Contest.
Also, thank you to the Lt. Governors who chaired the regional oratorical contest: Pat Brown – Columbia Downtown, Daniel Rothe – Southside and Gary Rieth – North St. Louis County.

CPA Rules 2011-2012
To all Optimist clubs. Carl Westenbarger has provided the following info. Select the link below for CPA rules.
The NEW Community Projects Awards (CPA)
The CPA program has gone digital! Binders and entry books are outdated and the
program has been updated to encourage participation, streamline the submission
process and provide the best possible resource for Clubs looking for new project
ideas.
Clubs may now submit in two new categories:
Best Film (with a video clip of 10 minutes or less on CD) or
Best Writing in a CPA Entry (all documents submitted in .pdf form on CD).
The Official Rules have been revised for the 2011-2012 year to better meet the
goals of the program. The Project Story and Judging Sheet are available here.
Please make sure that your Club uses the new forms when completing an entry.
Clubs will still be required to answer all the questions on the Project Story.
Clubs may submit entries on CD only. Entries submitted in binders will no longer
be accepted as part of the CPA program.
